Mr Fox says

Champion Basma (SR:151, 2/1) holds the second-highest SR in the field and is trained by E J O'Neill whose small yard (6% strike rate, 124 runners) suggests this is a horse placed with genuine confidence. The form reads 72 — a second on latest start — which is the most meaningful recent piece of form at this level. Kindacan (SR:153, 7/2) has the superior SR but has drifted 6% in the market and its last two runs show 30 (a third then an unplaced), providing no win evidence; Champion Basma's second-place finish is a more encouraging springboard. Weight is also favourable: Champion Basma carries 9-8, same as Kindacan's 8-11 advantage is moot when SR 151 vs 153 are this close. The market's 2/1 favouritism is well-founded given the lack of proven winners in a field of maidens and debutants. Each-way alternative: Jabreen. Main danger: Kindacan — Kindacan holds the highest SR in the field at 153 and is trained by J.P. Murtagh with Ben Coen booked; the slight drift of 6% is modest and could simply reflect routine market movement rather than negative stable confidence.
