Trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (16% strike rate, 3,232 runners — the dominant yard here) and ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle (17% strike rate, 1,726 runners), the strongest connections combination in the race by a wide margin. The 9-8 weight and 3yo allowance give a meaningful edge over the older horses carrying 9-12. Form of 7-4352 shows consistent improvement and engagement at the track, and while the SR of 84 looks modest, this is a weak maiden field where the top SR is only 138 (Nustty, a 14/1 drifter at 23%) — connections confidence and class of yard matter far more here than raw SR in an underpowered field.
