Mr Fox’s call
Master Of The Sky
SPECULATIVE Advised 9/4 Est. 35%
Mr Fox says
Master Of The Sky (SR:152, 9/4) holds the second-highest SR in the field and is trained by the Gosdens (24% strike rate, the strongest training yard represented) with Benoit de la Sayette aboard. Although form is unraced, the SR premium over all bar Crown Of Crowns, combined with elite stable expectation on an AW debut at a straightforward Class 3 novice, makes this the most logical candidate. Crown Of Crowns (SR:154) is the narrow SR leader but has drifted 10% in the market — weak for a horse at 11/4 with only one run showing a fourth — and Haggas's 23% strike rate is strong but the market's retreat is a mild concern. Master Of The Sky's stable confidence (Gosdens at 24%) and tighter pricing make it the preferred angle, with the SR edge over everything else in the field substantial. Each-way alternative: Crown Of Crowns. Main danger: Crown Of Crowns — Crown Of Crowns holds the highest SR in the field at 154 and has Haggas (23% strike rate) behind it — if the market drift is simply noise rather than stable intelligence, the raw ability edge could be decisive over this trip.
