Mr Fox says

Moon Rock (SR 150, 11/4) carries the joint-highest SR in the field alongside Vulcanist but is trained by Ed Walker (16% strike rate, 1,560 runners) with Tom Marquand aboard (16%, 2,541 runners) — a top-tier booking that signals genuine intent. The SR 150 represents a clear ability edge over the maiden/debut runners in this field, and while the 8% market drift is a mild concern, Marquand's retention on the ride suggests connections remain confident this is the right opportunity. Vulcanist (SR 150, 10/3) is the obvious rival at the same rating but has drifted 5% and Ralph Beckett's debutants, while often well-schooled, frequently need the run — Moon Rock's single racecourse experience (however modest the finishing position) gives it a marginal edge in race-reading and tactical awareness. Each-way alternative: Showmaster. Main danger: Vulcanist — Vulcanist matches Moon Rock's SR 150 exactly, is trained by Ralph Beckett (19% strike rate) with Hector Crouch (18%) — one of the strongest trainer-jockey combinations in the field — and Beckett's debutants frequently outrun the market on debut despite the minor 5% drift.
